This department works with the Alumni Outreach Programme at AKU to find brilliant alumni currently working as neuroscientists and neuro physicians, who’ve taken different pathways to reach their goals. This department is responsible for providing aspiring Neurophysicans the right guidance by enhancing communication between students and alumni.
Very recently, our Alumni Outreach department arranged a talk ‘So you think you can be a scientist?’ with Dr Ali Jawaid ’07, an AKU Alumnus who is currently working as a physician scientist in Switzerland. Dr Jawaid talked about how once can pursue an MS-PhD pathway and the road to becoming a neuroscientist. He also helped students in giving important tips about how they can build their CVs for applying to an MD-PhD program.
We also have an extensive database of Alumni who graduated from AKU and further pursued their careers in the different fields of neurosciences. These alumni are contacted by this department and they have conducted successful talks for mentorship and facilitation of their juniors, who aim to pursue competitive neurosciences careers like they have.
