Dr Faisal Fecto [MBBS, ’05] has been recently elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Election to Alpha Omega Alpha is an honor signifying a lasting commitment to professionalism, leadership, scholarship, research, and community service. A lifelong honor, membership in the society confers recognition for a physician’s dedication to the profession and art of healing, and of “being worthy to serve the suffering”.
Dr Fecto is a graduate of the class of 2005 of the Aga Khan University Medical College. He has completed post-graduate research and clinical training at Northwestern, Iowa, and Stanford. He is currently faculty at Stanford University School of Medicine, and his research focuses on the basic pathogenic mechanisms that contribute to human neuromuscular diseases.
